The House of Scotland Pipe Band is based in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. As a member of the Western United States Pipe Band Association, the band has been performing at major events and contests throughout the Western United States and Hawaii since 1964.

The band welcomes new members and provides quality instruction in piping and drumming.

Practices are held Monday evenings from 7 to 9 in the House of Pacific Relations, Balboa Park, San Diego. Visitors are welcome.
During competition season, practices are held on Wednesday nights at various locations in San Diego.

Instruction: The band offers world-class instruction in piping and drumming. Currently working with the band is Lorne Cousin of Campbeltown, Argyll, Scotland. Lorne has won all of the major junior titles in Scotland including both the Cowal Gathering Lamont Shield and National Mod Trophy a record three times. Subsequently, he has won prizes at Senior Level at the Argyllshire Gathering, Northern Meetings, Scottish Pipers Association and National Mod.

Lorne played with Madonna's band on the World Re-Invention Tour and has since performed with international artists around the world. Lorne works with the band as a whole and also provides individual tuition for solo pipers. See www.lornecousin.com.
